Man Arrested After 21-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in Welsh Boatyard
Dyfed-Powys Police have launched a murder investigation after the body of 21-year-old Corinna Baker was found at Netpool Boat Yard on the River Teifi in Cardigan, Ceredigion. A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with her death, and authorities are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
On Saturday, 15 November, at approximately 12:35 PM, police responded to reports of a deceased woman at Netpool Boat Yard, a location situated on the River Teifi in Cardigan. The woman was later identified as Corinna Baker, aged 21. Emergency services attended the scene, and the area was immediately secured for investigation.
Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that a 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody. Detective Superintendent Wayne Bevan stated that specially trained officers are supporting the victim’s family through this difficult time.
Authorities have cordoned off the boatyard, and forensic teams are conducting detailed examinations, including the removal of a boat covered in black plastic sheeting for further analysis. Police believe that events in the vicinity between 9 PM on Thursday, 13 November, and the discovery on Saturday may be critical to the investigation.

Individuals who were in or around Netpool Boat Yard between the evening of Thursday, 13 November, and the discovery on Saturday, 15 November, are urged to contact authorities.
